September 19, 2007--HLT Energies Inc. becomes the Founding Partner
of a European Company Dedicated to Solar Energy
Montreal (QC) --HLT
Energies (“HLT”) joined Ecotech Finance, a subsidiary of the Société
Régionale
d’Investissement de Wallonie(“SRIW”)
specialized
in environment and renewable energy investments, and Watt
Engineering, a Belgian company, to form
EKOWATT.
HLT
Energies thus acquired ⅓ of EKOWATT S.A. for 35 000 Euros. Moreover,
each founding partner acquired an equal percentage of the new company.
The official launch of EKOWATT is planned for October 7, 2007.
This investment is the result of significant efforts and groundwork by
its founding partners, each bringing expertise and know-how to the
table.
- Ecotech Finance, a subsidiary of SRIW, promotes environmental
management in Wallonia by acquiring participation in companies of this
sector to ensure their economic development, encourage original
know-how development as well as its export into fast-growing world
markets
The mission of the SRIW is to invest in Belgian and international companies in order to promote the economic development of the Walloon region, either directly or indirectly. The SRIW published sales of 740 Million Euros on December 31, 2006. Its investment portfolio is comprised of 13 industrial sectors totaling 510.Million Euros. - Watt Engineering brings to EKOWATT its solar photovoltaic technical know-how as well as merchandizing expertise. Through its partnerships, EKOWATT will benefit from 16 commercial outlets throughout Belgium as well as local employment market savvy.
- HLT Energies adds value to EKOWATT through solar thermal energy technical know-how as well as an expertise in the sale of renewable energy and project analysis.
EKOWATT will serve different markets (commercial, domestic, private
and public) by providing innovative energy solution. Its clientele will
benefit from complete advice, not limited to choice of equipment but
encompassing financial aspects, cost control as well as sustainable
management of the equipment.
